About Dani Dixon

Dani Dixon is a comic book creator, author and publisher. She founded publishing house TUMBLE CREEK PRESS which is the imprint for all her books to date. Dani created and writes the comic book series “13”, manga series “M.I.S.//ing”, and manga webcomic “Her Crazy Boss”. Dani is also the author of YA fantasy series “Five Nations”, scifi adventure series “Jupiter Elementary”, and the novel “Precedent”.

Dani speaks around the country on topics such as diversity and representation in media, marketing for independent artists, and women in science fiction. She has spoken at the Writers Guild of America about the influence of comic books on Hollywood and regularly consults on comic book adaptations. Dani has been asked to weigh in on everything from pop culture to how to make it in the publishing industry on dozens of panels, many at the biggest conventions in North America, including Comic-Con International (125k+ attendees), WonderCon (40k+), Stan Lee’s Comikaze (45k) and FanX (120k+).
